Kerosene is stemmed from the lighest fraction of the crude oil distillation. It is also called paraffin or paraffin oil.
It is mainly used as fuel for jet-engined aircrafts but also for heating appliances.
Aviation kerosene contains different additives to prevent gumming, static electricity, corrosion, icing, etc.
It has a very low content of sulfur (on average 0,05% by mass).
