This committee was created in 1983 within the ICAO's structure in order to tackle environmental topics related to aviation, noise and emissions.
The ICAO's environmental policy is revised every three years (cf. General Assembly) and reported in a specific document called "Consolidated Statement of continuing policies and practices related to environmental protection".
The last version of this document is the Assembly Resolution A35-5 of 2004.
